    Anyone else watch it?

Fascinating stuff - shocking, but awesome (in it's truest sense).

    You beat me to it

I watched it with my 13 year old son, normally a chatty boy he never said a word through out. I enjoyed the programme and look froward to the rest of the series

      Awesome, but terrifying.

The shot of the eyes was truly magnificent.

I thought the opening sequence - with the apple was really good. Puts things into perspective.

Watched it and enjoyed it in a fascinated, horrified sort of way.

                    LOL!

We are starting the Soils module on Tuesday. Soil is something I'm very passionate about. I'm not teaching it myself but I'll have an apple on hand for the demo

Most of the class are well versed in the accoutrements that I bring along....the tutor is new but that never stopped me before.

Question is - will your apple have a map on it? Now that was impressive!

i watched and i must say impressive mass farming but it did make me sigh at the need for it.
the bio fuel was interesting but the smoke etc it was belching out in the background of the link shot made me ask myself if it was all worthwhile.

soya beans 18 million tonnes and only enough for half of europes demand for the bean.

but they were ploughing and adding fertilizer and the next crop straight behind it.
this will be a battle from the heart

... and in this health and safety obsessed world, I sat there doing a risk assessment in my mind - all I could think about was - where's their protective gear, head gear, eye and ear protectors, masks, chainlink gloves??? - maybe I should tell myself to 'go on, let go and live a little on the edge' maybe!?! Phew had to step out of the cotton wool to type that one

I thought that when he was stepping through the harvesters....

And I thought that American must have either been unfit or had lung problems, he was puffing a bit when on the way to the forest.

That was because all the rain forest had been cut down - the air quality was rubbish. All that dust being blown up from that massive field the other dude was harvesting.

I just thought of Superman when I saw all those combine harvesters.
