tell me about it - i fell off the edge of a hot tub at the weekend and am in serious pain!!!! hope you get well soon.....those veggies will need to be tended to!

if you have any Essence of Fennel four or five spots in a very hot bath and soak it works wonders on aches and pains.
It stinks the house out with the smell of anniseed but it is worth it..

Did mine last week digging,though not my garden,I was after rag worms for fishing,use deep heat,which I find eases it a bit.

Sorry to hear your news Nicos - and yep, its easily done! Two days before we moved house, to our current house, DH was going up the stairs at his mum's, there is a left turn at the top of the stairs, and his back went! (He does have arthritis (sp?) even though he's young). That left me and my fab father in law to shift all the big pieces of furniture into the house!

I know of a bloke who put his back out picking up a pencil off the floor!!!!!

Now then..this fennel/aniseed thing...I wonder if Pernod or Ricard taken internally would do the same trick????

Hi Nicos, know how you feel. When mine goes I can't walk, very painful. The first time I plugged the hairdryer in, the 2nd I was getting some juice out the cupboard x

I recommend yoga as a preventative measure...(and running ) .. and exercises...

When you are over 60 it's time to look after yourself - see Berlusconi....

Oi!!!!!!....I'm NOT over 60!!!!!! ....actually I do go to yoga- it was the last one on Monday for the summer!
