  • It's HAILING!!!!!!

It's hailing here and I cannot begin to say just how utterly fed up I am with this summer weather!!!!!!!!

Oh and for good measure because of the weather there's 'no signal' on the digital satellite tv - what will it be like when they turn the analogue signal off?

    Manda

We have had a good day here weatherwise but all I've managed to do was pick some sweet peas and two courgettes! Mind you the courgettes were funny as I havent checked in a couple of days and thought the first one was big (22cm long) then I found one even bigger (more a marrow really) at over 30cm long (cant find tape measure only a ruler at mo!)!!!!!

    Whats your weather doing now?

My box to the tv in our bedroom (I know what a passion killer - maybe thats where our quest for a baby is going wrong!) hardly ever works so I should really sort it before d day.

We have heavy showers and a bit of sunshine here in sunny Devon. High winds seemed to have dropped for the time being. What we need is the sunshine and the winds to dry out the ground a bit.

They had hail in Brighton last week: it looked like February out there!

It's absolutely pished down all day here, no hail thank goodness, but the Sky has been a load of squares which occasionally move around
I made an executive decision to start the Back to School shopping this afternoon - have one child fully kitted out now; uniform, PE kit, shoes, coat. 1 down, 2 to go!

was lovely and sunny this morning, but now we are having monsoon showers and thunder, between blasts of sun .... have seen some lovely rainbows though, saw 3 at once before, was almost worth getting soaked for

We certainly did have a hell of a storm down here last week accompanied by tremendous thunder and lightning.

The hail was clattering down with some gusto - you just couldn't hear yourself speak.

British Summer - who'd have it? Suppose we're just getting back to normal and we've been spoilt by some of the long, hot summers of recent years.

T'was sheeting it down here most of the day - it brightened up in the morning and lasted until about 1 o'clock. Then it's been funshine and power showers the rest of the day.

I'm sure this weather's to blame for my rubbish peas - hardly any flowers and those that did bloom just got blown off. Bit worried about my sweetcorn suffering the same fate - pollen getting wet, then being blown off away from the cobs below.

But hail Manda?! You have my sympathies.
