  • Its coming together

Some of you may know we are decorating our hall stairs and landing and also replacing our living room suite.

Well, we arranged for the council to collect our two armchairs on Wednesday which they did, the sofa went into the snug in front of the open fire, the day bed that was there went into the front bedroom, the double bed that was in there went into the loft, thus making space for Kazzi to do her crafts without having to clear them away all the time. This left us with no furniture in the lounge

Finally today the new leather reclining suite arrived for the lounge, good job as we are having friends over tomorrow dinner and we would have all been sat on the floor.

Everywhere still looks like a bomb site though.

Sounds like it's all coming good Piglet.

On Monday my kitchen gets ripped out and the new one gets started and as soon as that is finished the wee conservatory gets demolished and the big one gets started.

I think I'll be in a bomb site for a while but I'm not worried. It will all be good when it's finished and this will be a lovely cottage.

Your work and upheaval will all be worthwhile Piglet. x

Well done you,, we have just done nearly the same,, decorating wise, but also included one bedroom, gets a bit of a strain at times especially when the dog decides to brush against the new (WET) painted doorframes

It's catching. Our Garden Room goes in on monday - at the moment the back garden/courtyard looks like a bomb site as the roof and half of the garage wall is demolished. The rest is being done after the garden room is in - and we're having a new wall to match the original wall [from 1880] build in the next 2 weeks.

After that, it's a greenhouse to buy. Can't want for that day! Yippee!!!

The Garden Room is one of these...

                  Here is the cunning plan,

Ours is a three bedded house with a box room as the third bedroom. This boxroom now contains the staircase up into the (ready for conversion) loft. When the dormer goes in, probably March time, the loft bedroom will be 22' square with an ensuite wet room. So, the double bed went in easily but will be coming back down to our bedroom and our huge emperor bed will go up into what will be the master bedroom.

                  Eventually.
