    It's cheer yourself up time folks!!!!

    OK- just discovered something I want to share with you!!!

    As I was staring at the boxes of 'stuff' to unpack in my bathroom, I suddenly spotted some suntan oil .
    "won't be long before I'll be needing that" says I hopefully

    ...and then , I had a brain storm!!!

    Why not now??? I needed to use some cream on my skin, and I love the smell of sun lotion- so for a psychological boost I applied the sun cream!
    Wow- I've half managed to put myself in holiday mode

    Perfect for a March morning!

    try it- I know it sounds daft..but why not?

          Steady on, it's a bit early for that kind of thing, I've got a busy day ahead of me and need to be concentrating! (DD has requested a 'ballet cake' for her birthday tomorrow, and it is going to require all my icing skills, which are not my greatest feature...).

          Btw, to regain my composure and get back to the original post, I think it's a fab idea and am off to do likewise! So there you doubters, I'll head off to the loony bin with Nicos

            So why not set fire to something, it'll make you feel warm, like summer sunshine, and when the fire brigade arrive to put it out you'll have all those hunky firemen on hand

                Nicos I'm with you on this...
                I have hand cream that smells just like suntan lotion we used on honeymoon! fantastic I am right back to my dessert island.
                the power of smell and memories, it's such a strong emotion - I wonder if anyone has ever researched this? dont know why - just wonder....more pills for me too I think!
                maybe were need a 'funny farm step'? we have the Norty Step

                      Nah, hate wearing suntan lotion and only put the stuff on when I have to so there is no way I'd do it for fun! Know what you mean about smells though

                      Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

                      Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                        I can't drink malibu cos it reminds me of coconut suncream (yes I know why would anyone want to drink malibu anyway it's vile lol). I hate coconut.
                        But love the smell of normal sunprotection cream - it's not very pc to call it suntan cream these days lol.
                        Off to hunt for a bottle (of suncream not malibu) and maybe it will encourage the sun to stay out?!
