Default I'm Sorry!

Looks like a thread I posted has been removed.

I'm sorry if it has broken any rules or offended anyone - no rude language included - I thought it would be a good genuine scam-free way of supplementing our gardens. I won't make that mistake again.

Please accept my apologies for possibly breaking the rules - I was genuinely trying to help folks.

I don't know what you posted so can't comment on its content. Have you spoken to the Mods to find out whether it was moved or it did, in fact, contravene rules?

We all have to learn and I'm sure they will help you in anyway to ensure good postings, they are quite brill

Some times someone will start a new thread off when there is a similar one in a different forum. So the mods may move it.
Hope this clears things up!

I'm not going to give any more details such as websites and links this time as this might 'offend' again and we may not learn to steer clear - especially if it is me who has made the first mistake in this area.

It involved scanning your shopping bar codes and/or a survey site - both genuine, voluntary and paying out in high-street shopping vouchers or nectar points - which I thought would be great to spend in B&Q, Argos etc on garden equipment and other stuff. there was nothing to benefit me directly or indirectly.

Especially as we had a couple of people wanting to 'best spend' £20 and around £60.

If the mods have moved then I don't know where - if the mods want to give me a public dressing down that's fine - if we can all learn from my mistake.

Dont worry Quark, you wont be keel hauled this time.

We try to keep the vine free of any commercial advertising other than that placed by the editorial or admin team.

If you have any doubts about what you are posting please contact one of the moderators for clarification.

People who do spam or try to trade on the vine find that their membership turns to compost very quickly.

Shortie - it was me who was wary of having broken the rules - and I'm glad that you are checking them out. You have certainly not caused me any offence whatsoever!

Promise there is nothing of the pyramid or anything like that about either website.

I've had some good benefit from both and I was hoping that others might also share in that kind of thing if they wanted to join in - providing the are currently looking for more panellists.

Thanks for ensuring that scams are kept off this site.

Headfry - no I'll not get upset - just didn't want to offend folks or rules.

Shortie has explained why the thread had to be removed and whilst it didn't specifically infringe the rules it may have lead to lateral attention off the garden theme from 'intruders' - and I can see the point.
