  • I'm going to be the Mother of the Bride! SMILE!

My daughter just called with some exiting news!

She and her fella have been living together for around two and a half years now. On and off over the last few weeks, he has been going off behind her back to see his parents and getting advice mostly from his Mum about a ring. He has had it specially designed and made for my daughter, a nice big sparkler!

Today my dughter was pottering about at home, her fella cam in the kitchen holding out a box, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She has said yes!! I am soo sooo pleased for them! They make a great team!

The wedding will be next year some time, no date set as yet. My daughter said she wants time to plan things properly and give her falla's pairents breathing space because his sister is getting married this year!

    Aint life grand!

    Ah that's lovely

And you have LOADS of time to get the BIGGEST hat you possibly can

And maybe get your future S-in-l to have a word in my OH's ear as he thinks the whole thing is a waste of time.....

                That's great!
I second the hat call above... You've got plenty of time to find the biggest, most fantastic one before next year!

                Hope they'll be really happy

Thanks so much to all of you for your comments and wishes! I know they will be good together! My daughter says she is as happy today as she was when they first started to live together, nothing has changed for her!

They have a lovely home, their Boxer Dog Toby, who is a silly softie and as lovebal as they are and their cat Chloe. My daughter did say that perhaps god willing there will be a 2 legged baby sometime in 20012. well thats the plan anyway! 1st thing I said then was Ahh an olympic baby how nice! We will see on that one is a way off yet!

How lovely!! Congrats to them and to you!!! Start going to wedding fairs etc and get loads of ideas. Seen some lovely M-O-B outfits while pottering around them.
I also have a massive mental list of websites etc to find stuff too.
