  • I'm Devastated

I was walking my dogs yesterday when my lovely Oliver collapsed and died, he would have been 6 on the 22nd June.

Although I have 3 other dogs I had a special bond with my Oliver and the place seems so empty without him.

So sorry for your loss - but at least he went quickly doing what dogs love doing best - walkies!

I'm sure your 3 other doggy friends will rally round and be extra special to you at this rotten time.

                RIP Oliver.

Gutted for you, what an awful thing to happen. But, as Quark says, at least he was out enjoying himself.

How sad for you Soltaire. I do know what it feels like to loose a much loved pet. It must have been a big shock for you especially with the dog being so young. I hope you can find a way to feel better soon.

It would have been a massive heart attack, Oliver along with his sister Petal was bred by me and the last of my line.

The other 3 are very depressed and Petal keeps looking for him

Thank you all for you kind comments

Sorry to read that news. It is so sad when a relatively young dog goes so quickly (we lost a deerhound when he was only 7 but that is a fair age for such a big hound) but as others have said, at least he was enjoying himself at the time. That is small comfort but easier than watching them slowly lose some of their abilities and enjoyment of life.

Hugs to you and the other dogs.
                        Happy Gardening,

I'm so sorry for your loss - just remember what a fabulous life you gave him and that he loved you unconditionally for it.

Sorry to hear that. That's the downside of pet-keeping. You give each other so much and then when they go it's extra hard.
