    Default I'm Back!

Don't know if any of you remember, but last Autumn I was having a good old whinge about the arthritis in my hips. Turned out it wasn't arthritis at all and I've been doing battle with the big C ever since. Worse, the bone cancer was a secondary to breast cancer. My gran died of breast cancer so I'd always checked myself, but the lump itself was way round the back of the arm-pit (can't think of a polite wayof putting it) and was not really noticable at all, so things have gone way further than they should have and it was only when the bone started leaching calcium into my bloodstream and sent me on a long journey to La-La land that it was all picked up.
I'm home now feeling really well and (touch wood) completely pain free (with the aid of half a pharmacy!) The bone in the hips is damaged beyond repair and I'm in a wheelchair, though I can manage to potter around the house on a zimmer frame and use a stairlift, I really can't complain though as the prognosis was not good and I just feel sooooooo lucky to be here, and OH is building a solid path at the lottie so I'll at least be able to 'supervise' (that means complain that he's doing it all wrong)
So, ladies, don't be an idiot like me, check and double check the whole area. Then check and double check it again.
Finally, I left on my journey to La-La land on the 14th of December, Can someone pleeeease put me out of my misery and tell me what it was that Lynda did on the 15th that was soooooo secret?
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

OMG Bluemoon! So glad to hear you sounding so good now but it sounds like you've really been through the mill. What a shock all that must have been. Glad to hear about the plans for the lottie- expert supervision is essential.
Sorry, I missed all the stuff about Lynda- don't know where I was when all of that was revealed, so can't help you there. Anyway, welcome back- I'm just off to check me bits!!!!

Oh my goodness. Thank goodness they diagnosed you and you're doing well now. What a terrible thing to have gone through, and what spirit you're showing in what must have been a dreadful time.

You've been missed - so glad you're back, and I hope you continue to make progress, you brave thing. x

Don't know what to say about the big C, sorry. Good news you are still able to manage your minions on your lottie Lynda's big news was moving to Helensburgh and staying with a new partner there and hopefully fingers crossed etc opening a shop possibly in Garelochead. Today 2 Grapes have rejoined the Vine - Bluemoon and Moggssue but I wonder how the other Grapes are doing that have left - the stalwarts when I first joined including Lynda.

Glad your geting back into the gardening. If your balance and walking is ok, worth trying to get a trial of a uniscan - a wheeled walker with a seat, then you can really hassle, I mean supervise, at the lottie. Depending on how your local NHS works, but the physios/OTs managed to get them for some people, where I used to be.
