  • If you had piskie to dinner, what would you cook?

Note how I said "to" dinner, and not "for" dinner - I know you lot!

So, piskie and SD are coming for dinner on Sunday - I think I know what I'm cooking, but what would you do?

Veggie? I've been told (by the lady herself), that both she and he will eat pretty much anything - which in the case of my cooking, is a good thing.

Well.....I can't answer as my choices would be veggie - probably a good hearty curry with rice and plenty of side dishes and breads. But, I'd go with what Nicos said if I wasn't veggie.

Well when I have people over I like to spend time with my guests so prepare alot before and leave it so its just put in the oven before they come and you can laugh - and drink with them.

My suggestions are - Butternut Squash soup for starters, Veggie lasagne with garlic bread and herby new potatoes for main and a cheesecake for dessert.

All of these are easy to sling together and pop in the oven/reheat. Thats a crackin menu if you like being social/informal. What you think?

                  Caprése for starters
                  Lasagne for main
                  Tiramisu for dessert

Yum yum! All can be prepared in advance, just add balsamic vinegar/olive oil right before serving, in a 30% acid/70% oil ratio.

                    To the Tiramisu?

We have one of those bottles with the vinegar in the middle, and the oil round the outside.

I'd give her cheese on toast and make her wash the pots

Now be sure to tell that wee 'un not to be sick or poo on me but I will laugh if he does on SD
