I don't...I listen. Torture myself, and then feel ashamed to be part of this society for a short while. Before I watch/listen/see something that makes me proud to be alive again...

I listen/watch, then if its appropriate, my children listen/watch.

If you dont 'hear' it how can you fix it? how will our children learn from the mistakes society makes, if they are never aware those mistakes are being made?

Unfortunately there are some very SICK people out there. In cases like this, those who were responsible for allowing this tragedy to happen should be punished severely, and for anyone who tortures another defenceless person to death we should bring back the death penalty.

I saw the news last night where some woman said that there was no evidence to sack people, they had been given warnings...so a dead child isn't evidence enough?

I have been watching this on the news and other programs it would appear that he was seen over 60 times by people, how come no one did anything, just a week before he died he was nearly taken away why wasnt he ? As a parent and grandparent myself I could never watch one of my kids suffer like this.

If you are old enough to be reading this and you are being abused please tell someone, and if you are an abuser please stop get help now.

Baby P rest in peace little one you didnt deserve to die like this.

I understand what you say JM and part of me also wants to turn away to save my hurt - but I make myself watch/listen and yes I sob and feel sick but I take heart in the fact that these 'people' are few and most people are good and kind.

Baby P - you are in a better place than you were

Just read the story. How on earth did a doctor miss that his back was broken.?
This has made me feel sick to the core. Most parents would lay down their own lives for their (or any) child, how can a mother let somebody do this, and then attempt to cover it up?

                    Beggars belief.

Just imagine, this only came to light because the child died. How many others are suffering that are hidden from view? It doesn't bare thinking about.

But if we shy away from reading about/listening to it, things happen and no-one suspects. A healthy suspicion because we KNOW it happens, could save another child.

I didn't know any of the graphic details. I found it sad that they simply refer to him as Baby P. That child died a horrible death and I find referring to him like this a bit impersonal, like he was an object. Seems the Social Services are still trying to find that happy medium and I hear that they're blaming 'lack of funds' and 'short staffing'. I wouldn't have said 60 people seeing the same child is short-staffing.

How the charges of manslaughter and murder against the adults involved have been dropped I'll never know... that poor child, at least it can't suffer any longer.

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
