  • I love my dog.

Most of the time. Today, however I dont like him very much at all.
Wandering round the field with a thunderous hangover, he disappeared off for a bit and then came back.
Nice, he had rolled in fox poo. All round his collar and his neck.
As well as already feeling incredibly ill, I had to bend down (which wasnt nice) touch his stinky fox poo collar (which wasnt nice) and then wash it out of his fur, equally not nice.
It wouldnt have been so bad, if it wasnt for the fact that I go back to work tomorrow, and he was due to go to the people who look after him when I go away.
    Stinky hound.

Sympathies... Mine rolls in some disgusting things too. I've walked him home at arms length many a time.
Worse if they roll on a dead fish you can't actually see anything but the smell ...............

I remember collecting my friends' dog one morning, as they were going away for two weeks. They said "he pongs a bit" as he jumped into my car. They smiled, I smiled, and said "Have a great Holiday!" and I drove off.

Within seconds of closing the window, it was open again - Jeeeeeeeeez he STANK!!!!

Yup, you guessed it - Fox mess!

I took him to the local Dog Groomer, and gave my friends the bill when they got back!

Glutton, that was evil of your friends but I must admit it made me laugh and is still making me laugh now.

My dear departed old golden retriever, Toby once rolled in a dead and decomposing rabbit (i think), all I remember is driving the 10 miles back from the woods with my head out of the window and I still couldn't breath properly. The worst thing was that even after 3 baths the smell was still there - he ended up covered in cheap perfum....

Fingers and everything else crossed - my Springers prefer to eat it rather than roll in it - equally disgusting but less noxious.
