  • I just bought five of these and have no idea what they are!!!

    Can anyone help me to identify these plants i just got from the garden centre....without label's on them (very helpful) They could be monster trees!

    I'd go back with them and ask!!!

    my guess...a Monster Tree
    "Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

      Looks like a type of Chamaecyparis, will grow slowly into a big floppy Conifer.

          Well they looked green and i thought i should have them on account of the fact i had a spare £20 in my hand...... yesterday i bought a new settee completely out of the blue, so its been one of those weeks!

          I know what they are now, they are Macrocarpa trees, and the piggin things do turn into triffids!!! My hubby said "but we said no trees" and i replied "yes i know but you can trim them and in any case they could go there [pointing] or there or we could even grown them in pots" at that point he opened a beer sat on his new settee and said "I give in!"

            They look like they would be good to chop at for Christmas decorations. I love lots of greenery in the house at this time of year. It would keep them in order too. Still wonder why you bought something you didn't know about though!
