  • I am so terribly happy !!

Today I finished my raised bed !
And I am so proud of it that i need to share it with you Grapes

Yesterday I build the frame, it is 30 cm height, 60cm width and 1m long. Painted in white so look lovely around all the green... I dug all the good soil for about 20cm (it was last year place for the compost ) replaced the space with wood bark well decomposed, then a layer of small stones for good drainage... and to finish a mix of farmyard manure (one big bag), the soil I previously dug out and several spade full of this year compost.

All that in less than an hour!! Frenzy gardening !!!
I wish I had a camera to show how great it is.... might try to upload pics with my mobile...

It's in a cool spot, partially shaded, so I am going for lettuce and spring onion then I will put my sprouting broccoli by the end of the summer. It's very tall so I hope it will discourage the snails!
