![]() I hope you've complained to the company and their courier service!!! I know it's *unlikely* but that could have led to all manner of unpleasantness

| i know i have rang them they are looking into it. hes was very lucky my 3 staffys were in the back else he could of got a nasty surprise, he would have got a damn good licking . I was so shocked that he had the nerve to that still can't belive it. |

| That's utterly appalling and just plain ignorant. It doesn't matter who you are, you don't just waltz into someone's house!!! I hope you worded your complaint strongly and I personally wouldn't let up until you're satisfied that it's been dealt with.

| Now you know why you should keep your doors locked, even though you are 'in'. I had a similar experience some years ago, and since then have made sure all external doors are locked!!! valmarg |

| I have a lot of stuff delivered by Lynx for work. Usually they're very efficient but it only takes one to let the side down. If there's any problem I make sure Lynx know who caused it. If it's not delivered correctly, then I havn't received it! |

| See a previous thread. I paid for next day delivery a couple of weeks ago. The company didn't say that this needed a signature. So a week later I picked up the parcel myself from the depot. Have they refunded the difference in cost. No, 'cos I wasn't there to sign for the parcel. I GO OUT TO WORK. They have a bl**dy nerve (yours and mine).

| What ever made him/her think that they could walk into your home???? It would have been only slightly better if they had opened your door just a little and popped it just inside. To walk into someones house like that.....from his standing...what if you now accused him/her of taking/attacking or worse! surely the delivery people would not want to put them selves in a vulnerable position either. It's madness which ever way you view it! Sorry this has happened sam04 Last edited by Headfry; 07-02-2008 at 10:03 AM. |

| My local courier (Home Delivery Network) opens the door & puts parcel in all the time. I don't mind, as I'm quite familiar with him, but I don't think I'd like it if it was a stranger doing it. Mind you, neither would they as Paddy would almost certainly frighten the life out of them!

| No sorry to say its nice to see the best in a situation but my neighbours are far to polite. The only people (friends ) that just knock and walk in were stood in my kitchen with me waiting for a coffee and were just as shocked. |

| Well I have just sold a load of computer parts on ebay. Everything I sell goes recorded delivery so someone has to sign. I say so on my ads. Saves any unpleasantness about Proof of Delivery and scams about "you did not deliver" etc. If someone walked into my house like that and got no signature, I would find the name of the MD and Write a letter of complaint. It's in the MD's interest and yours for the deliverer to be either fired or retrained. I doubt you were singled out: he/she probably does it a lot. | Having grown up in an "interesting" area of Luton, I never leave doors open, and I get a bit twitchy about open windows too. We usually arrange for couriers et al to leave deliveries round the back in our bin cupboard, but to be honest most of the time our neighbour intercepts and takes them in for us.

| I had my potatoes and shallots delivered today, because i work and i always buy a bit by mail order, i bought myself a parcel safe... It's a big dark green metal box fixed to the front of the house. Its very simple to use... you open the lid, place item inside, close lid then turn lock. Simple. ![]() Its locked safe till i open it with a key. However of the many parcels and item's I've had delivered in the year and a half I've owned the thing only ONCE has the postman managed to carry out all the actions.. he never actually locks the thing, i mean there is very large printed instructions on the lid. ![]() Tonight it was the same, i saw flap had been fiddled with when parking the car, i checked and there are my items unsecured in safe. They must be able to read, they found the house, followed the instructions on the label on the door, found the safe....then forgot how to read. Useless people.
