  • How many times????

How many time do you type a detailed response to a thread, then delete it before posting?
I often seem to do this. A topic comes up that I feel strongly about, I type a response, then read it through, chicken out, and move on without actually posting. I would be on at least 2000 posts if I'd actually posted all the responses I'd typed
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Ummm, quite often I just did it about 5 minutes ago! I have to think twice though, once as me and once as a Mod

I've even done it by accident (hit 'next topic' instead of 'submit'), and then decided it was just as well not said!!!!

Sometimes seeing it in print lets me realise that this is a moment to shut up! (and the stronger the feelings, the more likely they are better kept to myself.......)
I tend to think I should do this more often.......

Yea, I think my problem is that im way too synical, so I'll type an opinionated post and then think "No, these are lovely people, they don't deserve this"!

Yep I read through and then think nah, I also seem to be hitting the wrong buttons when typing a message and its not until I have posted that I notice the mistake's lol.

I often type a reply to something that has 'lit my fuse' then read through and decided I have had my vent but would prefer not to post. Other things are just too tricky to respond to properly so I may start a post then decide to opt out of that thread.

                        Often!

I'd like to think that in 'real life' I'd just say things but there's so much potential for things to be taken the 'wrong way' when you can't see the person's face or hear their tone of voice, that I try and think carefully before posting anything that could be seen as controversial!

                          Yep.

Once or twice a week, something gets my goat up and I launch into a reply... then think about it... decide sod it.

Guilty as charged me lord. Often read it back and don't want to be too opinionated or look stoooopid.

But makes me wonder if I'm being apathetic or considerate......
