  • How many packets of seed do you have .. fess up

Come on fess up... how many packets of seed to you have ? I made a list the other night after the OH complained about them being "all over the place" and I found to my horror that I have

82 packets of veg seed and 30 packets of flower seeds

Come on someone make me feel better .........

I would count mine, but am planting around 60 odd different varieties of things in my current box alone. There are around four main active boxes (things I planted recently) and one huge box of stuff that I planted and don't ever want to plant again that I am gradually giving away as and when I find people who like the things.

Estimate around 200 or so. Will edit to add later though if I can.

I must have about 500 flower packets and maybe 150 veg packets.

                  The shame!!

There's no way I'm going to count them up. My seeds are in a bursting concertina file, that's full
                    - beans and peas have their own shoe box
                    - plus more dried beans in a dozen full jars in the cupboard (for eating, or planting)
                    - plus school seeds in another shoe box
                    - and finally swap seeds in another shoe box

too many to count and they regularly fall out of different bags, glove compartment, etc.

No plan to count. It started with a small box, the a bigger box, now three boxes (veg&fruit/flowers/herbs) and a few days ago also added a spares for donating envelope. Still I discovered that I don't have enough self saved broadies!

Our local garden centre which used to be Wyvale, reduces packets to 50p at the end of the season, when I pick up my staples. Then when the numbers start to dwindle reduces further to 10p its a bit of a rummage in the bin at the end, but there are always some useful oddities to be had for 10p, such as asparagus peas.

I've got about 60 ish at a guess, but lots of saved seeds, so it could well be nearer 100.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
