Did anyone see this tonight on BBC2...what a programme...full of nostalgia and brought quite a few memories back...I loved it...would love to get some feedback on this one.

Its well worth a watch on IPlayer. Such a fantastic history of our gardening habits. It has it all -dig for victory, size queens, Percy Thrower, Geoff Hamilton (who was your inspiration?) Changing garden styles etc etc

I enjoyed the programme too, it was lovely seeing the bits of old films especially the one with Wesley Kerr (not sure if that's his name) who usually does films for Chelsea flower show, I loved the films of him playing in the garden as a toddler & the 'swimming pool' his parents dug out in the back garden & lined with concrete. It showed how fashions change & how even the 'experts' still disagree on what is acceptable or not in a garden.Into every life a little rain must fall.Comment

I loved the programme - only problem, someone rang in the middle and I missed a big slice of it. I hope it gets repeated.
