Special birthday - wow!..........I suppose it all depends how much you want to spend. As a starter, I believe Pandora bracelets are all the rage these days. I'm lucky in that I have 2 years to save for Mrs BMs' 50th so am saving for a safari come elephant & gorilla trek. What a nightmare have xmas & b/day on the same day.

You think that would be easy to answer Shirl, it isn't. To be honest with 2 teenage boys we don't do much, I have football and the veg growing, she tends to just plod on, happy, however no hobbies.

She'd be happy with whatever I got her but I'd like something special this year, too be honest the idea should come from me but I thought I'd just throw it up in the air
          Cheers

Wow that is quite a year of biggies!!!

Well, with all you blokes, sounds like your good lady gets little time for herself so how about a pamper session - hairdo, manicure, pedicure, massage and makeup at the local beauty salon?

For my 50th OH gave me a hot air balloon trip. I LOVED it .... it was a fantastic experience and certainly better than any amount of jewellery or knick-knacks (mind you I am not a jewellery or knick-knack person). He bought 2 tickets, we went together - mind you, she would have to wait until the weather improved - we went in the early evening during the late summer and then went for dinner afterwards. Wonderful, wonderful treat. He enjoyed it too.

Covered by MIL Shirl although a spa day would be good

I don't like heights either - if we go anywhere like cliffs on the coast or spectacular views I have to stay at least 10 feet from the edge But this was different ... I suppose I felt safe. I know it makes no sense but ...

We did something a few years ago that was hilarious, in-door sky diving at Milton Keynes, all 4 of us, the video is brilliant
