Default Has anybody been to the The Newark & Notts Garden Show..?

The reason i ask, is its run by a company called Aztec, who i have heard bad things about from other posters.

A poster on another site went to the Suffolk one recently and thought it was like a car boot selling junk, not very Horticultural related.

I was thinking about popping along to this one as its not too far from me.

I'm also going to GWlive2008 and now Hampton Court, but sometimes these smaller regional shows can be good with less crowds.

Just wondering if anybody had visited this show and if they thought it was worth it.

I went to one in Peterborough last year and it was run by Aztec I think. It was fairly small and was more flowers than veg but I found it an enjoyable day and bagged some bargain plants for the front garden. I am going to the one at the East of England Showground on Saturday, which is Aztec, I do hope its not going to be a disappointment.

Hi seasprout,
Lauren and I went to the Aztec show at Peterborough today, and while not large we found it easier to get about due to lack of crowds. A couple of stalls similar to what you would find on a market selling tools etc.
There was a stand from Jimmys Farm selling books and sausages, and quite honestly, the peppered steak sausage just HAS to be tasted - divine. Got some to do for Steve for dinner, but went to pub instead....cooking them tomorrow now
Not much veg related, but lots of shrubs, garden furniture etc

Not so much a whole day, but a pleasant way to spend a morning.
