I have two goldfish - one a Fancy, one a Tough Lad.
Fancy is currently sick with swim-bladder, this is an illness which causes the goldfish to swim upside down and can't right himself easily, it can be fatal.
Usually my two fishes are sort of separate in the tank, however the other night when Fancy started with the upside-down antics Tough Lad kept swimming alongside him - if I didn't know better I'd have said he was trying to get Fancy to stop the drama queen antics and get upright.
It was amazing!
So if fishes can help each other, maybe there is hope for the world eh
