Had a bit of a mareish couple of days - LOL!!!

Paracetamol....learn the lesson~yes!...Feel guilty~No!...think we've all been there...I caught DS ripping open & drinking the contents of the sachets once...thankfully not many(he was on sachet no.2 when I found him)

Yes I'm sure we have. I found No1 child eating the dog's Bob Martin conditioning tablets! I took her to our village GP who was very reassuring and said she would be fine with shiny hair and that I wasn't to forget to take her out last thing at night! Whatever happened to those lovely GP's?

Eldest son fed youngest Karvol as a baby. Had to spend the night in hospital for monitoring, and he had chickenpox at the time. Nurses loved us!
He had to climb a stool and a chest of drawers to get to the top of the wardrobe to get at it!!

Seems most of us with children have been there with the 'helping themselves to medicines' worry...when my daughter was little she managed to eat a whole pack of concraceptive pills! (they don't do much harm, but it does take a worrying phonecall to NHS Direct to find this out)

Cant remember if any of my kids managed to do this they hated the stuff lol. I sometimes have to ask my daughter to take the lids off as I cant do it but she has done it for a while she is twelve now and she takes tablets, she knows where they are and always asks me first if she can take anything, I hope she continues to ask.
Tammy dont beat yourself up about it these things happen and luckily for you no serious harm was done. Also try not to worry about your parents visits, hard for you I know, perhaps they would like to visit my sons flat as it smells and I hate going in but I rarely say anything, he has his elderly grandparents living in the top flat ( their house ) and both are incontinent, he also keeps loads of animals and when they need cleaning out boy does it smell as well as the elderly dog not always making it outside in time. They would know how clean your house was after a visit to him.

My sister suggested I put them on top of our fridge freezer (halloween sweets had to be put up there so I know he cant reach) but he will find a way someday - they all do dont they!

NHS direct were soooo funny when I rang them Di, they were asking questions like; "Is he breathing"! The other funny (yet sad) thing was when the Doctor gave him a thourough checking over. I remember thinking "I know just what you are looking for - well you wont find any bruises etc on MY son"! Docs parting words were "Bring him back if he gets fever, rash, vomiting etc" When he got up the next morning he only had a rash - I thought "NOOOOOOO" but it turns out he now has a virus!!! Fairy wishes right back at ya!


Had time to pop on here today as Muma nd Dad have only just rung to say they are leaving. Dad said "I have some water problems" I was immediately concerned as he does suffer from the occaisional urinary tract infections (sorry if too much info but its funny!) Then he said "we will be stopping at the services on they way" (only an hour away so they dont normally) "just to check the levels ok" My bind boggeled at what he meant !!!LOL!!!Not nice having visions like THAT about your folks I can tell you!!!! LOL - turns out its the car with the water bother not PA!!!!!

When I was a kid, I ate all the travel-sick pills in my Mum's handbag (we were on holiday, so no cabinet). After a quick call to the Dr, I was left to just wander around drunk and my evil mother still has all the pictures. Child abuse, that is! They are funny, though!

The most humiliating bit was asking nursery to keep an eye on her the next day...cue disapproving looks
