    Good
As it is the Anniversary of the accident at Chernobyl the Nog family held a plant sale. The local community donated plants and attended and we made for the Chernobyl Children’s Project and a local charity……

    Gits
Half way thru I get a phone call 45 Sheds at the Allotments have been broken into…nothing has been stolen but all the doors are bust.

Well done for the sale. To be fupickly honest, I didn't realise it was the Chernobyl anniversary.

For the lottie sheds - at least there was nothing taken - I guess. Dunno why people have so little respect for other people these days.

My Brother was married on the day Chernobyl happened so it's sort of easy for us to remember the date. I hadn't heard of the children's project though. It's their 25th anniversary in a couple of years and it might be nice to tie the celebrations in with some kind of fund raising.

As for the sheds, I'm saddened, but not surprised. At least no-one lost anything, apart from the expense of repairs, of course.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Sorry to hear about your sheds, NOG. Good for you, though on the fundraiser.

Nice one Nog, its a good thing that you did.

As for the sheds, there truly is nothing I can say anymore, nothing surprises me. I have never understood vandalism for the sake of it. If you're going to go to the bother of breaking down doors, at least nick something and make it worth your while.

I had to pack up all the stuff then drive to the allotment with a load of tools and put the door back on my shed than see who else got done.

The plant sale was great..one old woman arrived with a pillow? She found a seat and sat on the pillow and got her purse out and purchased a cup of tea and slice of cake and then sat there all day talking to anyone she could..then when it was over she tottered off home saying what a great day she had had.

2 years ago i managed to raise 825 for chernobyl children by having a 24 hour playing pool marathon.

Well done....in Belarus that is a fortune.

A nurse gets £1000 PA. and I know it will be well spent.

So sorry about the damage NOG. Some people hate to see others with anything.

Congrats with the fundraising. It's for such a great cause. Well done.
