I saw a few very fast, very bright flashes, someone i was speaking to about it mentioned long tails and slow burn outs, tbh if i wasnt in just my pants and a wooly hat i probably would have stayed out longer, its lovely and quiet out there.

Still clear and cold. I find staring at the sky does funny things to my eyes - I don't know whether the light I see disappears or was never there
Certainly nothing with tails, although there was some rustling in the bushes

Turned cloudy here last night so didn't see anything. Forecast for tonight is cloudy again but Friday is given clear so there may be a chance and it won't be so cold!! Rain here today which froze as it hit the ground.

Forecast misty tonight but above freezing - for a change. I'll find all my woolly stuff ready for nipping out.

Typical!
Night before last was clear and frosty- last night we had hail, sleet, snow
We now have 2" snow and grey skies. Not much chance of that clearing by tonight!
Thanks for the reminder though Roitelet- I'd completely forgotten!

I did try to watch from our bed last night. Kneeling up, like a four year old, over the headboard, and looking out of the window. The sky cleared, but it was far too chilly to be out from under the duvet for more than a few seconds, so I didn't see any.
