I just know I am going to do it......
Husband has just gone to the airport to pick up his brother and new girlfriend. They are visiting for the weekend. I have never met this girlfriend, but the last one was lovely and we saw loads of her. Their names though sound too similar.....
I have trouble calling my own children by the right names...
How do I stop the impending disaster??!!??
    Tx

Apologise in advance and say your sister is called by the ex's name!!, that way she'll think you like her when you call her the wrong name.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Pretend to be heading for early old-fogeydom and just call everybody Dearie for the duration?
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Tootles, I just don't know, it's a nightmare I live with all the time. I too have to go through all their names to get to the right child, I've even been known to include the dog's name!

All of the children are home this weekend with a variety of partners (that sounds bad!) so it could happen at anytime. I think I'll try not to use names at all, I managed many years before I referred to my in-laws by name, just didn't know what to call them!!

Relax and enjoy the visit. Have a wonderful weekend.
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!
