we're going to be desperate for water shortly so the more snow the better. It doesn't last long at this time of year.

If you believe the long range weather forecast can be at all accurate here it is for Easter:

UK Outlook for Tuesday 3 Apr 2012 to Thursday 12 Apr 2012:
Less settled than recent days, at least initially, with showers affecting southern and eastern parts in particular. However as the first week progresses the more unsettled weather will become confined to northern parts, with showers or longer spells of rain here, some of which could be heavy in the northwest. Southern areas on the other hand will become somewhat drier by the end of this first week, with the best of any sunshine developing here. Temperatures will be closer to average compared to recent days and it is likely to feel cold in the north at times. Into the second week there is a signal for the more unsettled weather in the north to spread gradually south into more of the UK, although perhaps not reaching the far south.

Updated: 1145 on Thu 29 Mar 2012 UK weather forecast - Met Office

                So where is that snow??

That's it then VVG, stop sowing sweetcorn, or at least become a SecretSweetcornSower.

It happened last year too - think I should stop growing it all together and just not eat it again!

It always snows on April 4th - plant your corn after that date and you'll be OK.
