  • early for gnats?

Somthing has bitten me good and proper on the neck, probably whilst digging yesterday. Driving me bonkers with the itching even though got bite cream on.
I thought it was a bit early for gnats?!
    Vampires maybe?!

i've noticed loads of mosquito things in the house the last few days, which is weird as i've never had them before, i think it's just the weird weather, they think it's spring after the snow.

I've just found one at the back of my knee... no way a gnat could have got up there and under my wellies. Must be in the house somewhere. They like me, OH sys it's cos I am a veggie and taste better than him. He rarely gets any.

Loads of the b*ggers around here. Sorry to blow the theory janeyo, but I'm not a veggie, and I get eaten alive

I've noticed the mozzies around the garden, but no one has been bitten yet. My sister swears by taking garlic capsules, supposed to repel vampires so I suppose there is something in it, but my son is still eaten alive every summer. He comes up in enormous lumps and sometime needs to resort to antihistamines to calm things down.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

I have 2 more, one is a whopper and has swollen up and looks like it might burst. It's all hot too. I shall get some garlic tablets tomorrow.
How do I know if it's infected?
