  • Down in the dumps?

It's been raining every day for three weeks now and the forecast says it'll be the same for the next 7 days, sigh! This weather makes me feel really, really down in the dumps, not sad, just really low, tired and lacking in va va voom.

Anyone else feeling the same? What we going to do about it?

hi amanda - didn't realise we were going to get more of this rubbish weather, not so good- i know what you mean though...I'm much more upbeat when weather better, even if it was warmer that would be something!. Unbelievable I know, but I was out earlier, and had a lightweight scarf around my neck -sun peeped out for 5 mins though so managed to sit outside with a coffee - first time for days! And to make matters worse, I've taken this week as annual leave

We had the woodburner on full tilt last night with the radiators on, geez!

Did you ever put your glass pyramid thingy together?

lol - yes I did - The glass pyramid is now officially known as `the spaceship' - it's fab and I love it! Currently it's a home to tomatoes and chillies!

Rain doesnt seem to bother my kids much. I've got teenagers and they are practically nocturnal

I on the other hand am getting pretty fed up with the wet stuff.

I really shouldn't have to be outside in wellies and waterproofs in August

It is all very depressing - I don't even want it scorching hot, just dry and vaguely warm (so my garden isn't under an inch of standing water would be nice...)

We are off to Scotland in a couple of weeks - packing wellies not t-shirts! We've been offered a week somewhere abroad later in the year, and although I'd said that we're going to try and not fly for a while, the offer is looking quite tempting at the minute!

We've had thunder and lightening this afternoon!!!!!!! Took the pooches out for a walk when the rain went off and it started up again when we were in the middle of the woods. Our young pup likes puddles and was splashing and sploshing happily, my hair however, looks like a birdnest now.

Can I join in? I just can't seem to get the umph to go to the plot - I know it's bad. Got called into a meeting this afternoon and then an announcement that the company is having a "review" of staff.

                      Great!

Been touted as an "adjustment" to help through the tougher times ahead.

                      Now, where was that CV..........

Oh dear, sounds like we all need a good dose of sun to help us through. Sometimes a good moan helps though. x

No choc but I did have a bit of home made carrot cake, warmed in the microwave slightly so that the icing went gooey!
