| got loads of seedlings ready to plant out but the weather has been awful and despite well drained soil, it's sticky and muddy and not good for digging over BUT I WANT TO PLANT OUT NOW ![]() i dont care if it's raining and muddy next week - i'll be out there digging and planting out ....... |

| Weatherproof gear I have for me, but planting seedlings or seeds into sodden cold soil is not a good idea. I'm going stir crazy too, and my little greenhouse is bursting at the seams (as are the windowsills in the house) but I'm afraid we need to wait until the soil is workable. UNLESS OF COURSE YOU WANT TO PLANT RICE!!!! |

| i had sunshine over the weekend! i didnt plant out but the sunshine spurred me on to sort out the seedlings etc - and then i realised i didn't have enough so had to sow more seeds it's all under control - and hopefully the ground will dry out enough to let me dig over and plant out sooooooooooooooooooooon ............ |

| TwoSheds - did you cover the spuds and onions with fleece, or any other sort of protection, or are you just leaving them to their own devices? I was a bit wary of planting mine at the weekend, it being so wet?!
