  • Dogs day out!

If you like dogs, come to the Dogs Day out on Sunday at Pembrey, Carmarthenshire. Its great fun and, if you're thinking of giving a home to a dog there will be dogs looking for new homes being walked around so that you can meet them! None of this fancy Crufts stuff here

Yes, we have the Paws walk here soon too. My kelpie's are too shy off the farms. Knic Nac has no idea how to behave 'out and about'. And last time we had Just Your Average Kelpie in town he was wailing in the back of the ute while I was shopping and people were taking it in turns to pat him - was embarrassing! The new recruit would probably fancy a walk on pavement - bring back happy memories for him.

I've said before we are looking VC, I'm not sure I can make that, but it looks like fun.

I love Pembrey, the dry ski slope, the miles of beach, the mini train, and the lovely cycle and footpaths. They also have a fantastic Caravan club site, so its definitely worth a trip.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I was thinking of you Mikey when I posted this! Hope you can make it as it would give you chance to see lots of different breeds and mongrels and chat to the owners.
I shall be there with my Mutts but they don't do tricks.......they don't do anything much really Wonder who they take after?

What a lovely idea. I got my own dog from the Council Dog's Home and you couldn't have a better natured dog. Carmarthenshire's just a wee bit far for me though.

I'll let the other half know, I believe the weather isn't forecast to be very good on Sunday. Wet.

I've got a day planned over the lottie tomorrow, and we've been away for the last few weeks, so she may well say she'd rather be at home, if she's keen we'll be there.

Let me know if you're coming Mikey and I'll let you smooth my dogs! (I'm sure "smooth" is a Welshism.)

I'm guessing after a Dog's Day Out you'll be treating them to a complete Dog's Dinner?

                    (I'll just get me coat.....)

Nope. They say it in Scotland too.

They browse their way around anyway, Jules, tasting here and sampling there! I'll keep them away from the weighing machine this year as they don't like going to Waistwatchers!

Anyone in England, Ireland, or elsewhere admit to smoothing a dog?

What a great sounding day out! I'm glad it's so far away so I can't come! I am sure if I brought the family I would return home with another member.......

But seriously...... It sounds like a fantastic initiative and I was wondering if it is repeated around the country?

Have a great day VC and all you other grapes who go!

                            Loving my allotment!
