    Doctor Who Revisited

    Morning Folks,

    Must admit I've been disappointed in the series but having just watched last nights episode I thought it was head and shoulders above the previous ones, what do others think?

    Yes I agree it was a bit ore original plot-wise (Had my 7 year old hiding behind sofa )
    Still not sure about Matt Smith....what do you think?

      He went up in my estimations last night but that's because the story line was better?

      My wife thinks it was better because Amy wasn't in it as much, her view is she gets as much air as the doctor

          Ilike him, lots! Mainly because I loved the last one loads but by the end i found him very very annoying!! Couldnt wait for him to go! I think this guy is a great actor, he combines a newness with elements of the old doctor too, so a newness and famliararity too! He lso manages to be quite young and naive but then again at times a bit old mannish? I like him!

          Agree too, my seven year old was scared this time, actually left the room and pretended to look for something!

          On a trivial note, I found it annoying that amy keeps wearing sheer tights, and manges to get dragged through layers of the earth without laddering them!! Annoys me like hell!!

          Didnt the tardis used to have a habit of turning up in the wrong place? Im sure it did when I was a kid?

            Love Mat Smith, he's made the Dr his own, he's so funny at times with a boyish quality none of the other Dr's have had, can't stand Amy...boy she get's right on my wick she never listen's to the Dr...shame that gas wasn't for real

            Bring back Donna Noble, that's what I say!

              I don't like the absent-mindedness, but, if he had done/been/experienced everything he's supposed to, well then, he'd be bound to forget some things!

              I like him.

              I like Amy too, but only because she's different. Most of the previous females have been too quiet and subservient. Apart from Donna, obviously oh and Martha too.

              I still say Martha Jones was the best female ...

                My 7 year old loves Amy Pond, & wants to change her name to Amelia!

                  Thought last nights ep was deffo one of the better ones. Love the new doctor - liked him straight away. As for Amy - I really liked her at first but she's starting to annoy me. I think it's the rapid, quick fire ranting she does in that 'oooh aren't I a kook' kind of way. Annoying.

                    A mate and I are not impressed with the new series at all.

                    To say the last episode was head and shoulders above, really is not much of a compliment considering how dull the others have been.

                    In my opinion they changed too many things at once. New doctor, new companion, new T.A.R.D.I.S and new writer never a good idea to do this many changes at once. Usually when the Doc regenerates the previous companion stays a few episodes into the new face when they are planning on replacing them. I must admit I was surprisingly impressed with Catherine as the last companion. I hated her "comedy" stuff but she was bloody good as the companion other than Ace the rest all seemed too dewy eyed for me.

                        It wasn't too bad. I think the best and scariest, for me so far, was the one in Venice with all those teeth!
