Default Do DIY type shops deliver to lottie sites?

I know I could ring round but if anyone here can give me a 'yes, so and so do' or an 'are you mad?' before I rack up my phone bill and/or look a twit, I'd be grateful!

I want quite a lot of bits and bobs (copper pipe, wood, paving slabs...) and it's a non-starter on foot. Not really the sort of thing I'd feel happy asking a mate to lug around in their car either, although I don't mind paying a 'man with a van', if that's my only option.

Just wondered if anyone knew?

Our big garden centre does. Doesn't charge a lot either. I think B&Q have a heftier charge. Don't know what it currently is but I'm sure their website would say.

It's useful to know garden centres seem amenable! Think I'm looking more at builders merchants type stuff though.

Not bothered about the charges really, just whether you have to get things delivered to an 'address' and if you do, whether a lottie would count as one

builders merchants deliver to bits of field etc before they become building sites so dont see why they wouldn't deliver to a lottie, they should be glad of your dosh or you can aways go to their competitors.

I would have thought that if you pay in advance they will deliver anywhere as long as it's accessible to their vans/lorries. The main problem I foresee is that if you're not there to meet them you may well lose your purchases to opportunists.

Should be ok with that, as I'll time it for when my Mum is here so I can hang around at the lottie all day, if needs be (ooh... hardship ). I'd like to think they'd want a signature and/or person to hand over to anyway but perhaps not, given other people's experiences
