  • Do any plants repel midges?

We've quite a lot especially at one end of our garden as there are a lot of shaded spots. Are there any plants that naturally discourage them (or other bugs)?

I seem to have success using pennyroyal as part of an aromatic path - no midges in that part of the garden. It also seems to deter flea beetle.

Did you know that it's only the females that are the irritating blood sucking pests?

I can't remember which herb for which bug but all the following repel some sort of pest. Bay, basil, mint, lavender and lemon grass.

Not sure of any plants that repel midges but I know 4von Skin-So-Soft does.

BM - does your wife buy it for you because, if she does and after your other comment, you're gonna have to delve beneath your skin (don't say it's too hard after all that treatment), locate your wallet and find a nice local Uvon lady who may and only if you treat her nicely, will not reveal any of your personal requirements on pain of death. Best of luck!!!
I work very hard so please don't expect me to think as well!

I haven't a clue what you just said but no more wives thank you, they are far too expensive.

You could try growing bog myrtle which might help
