Default Digging for Victory TV prog

Just seen an advert for "Digging for Victory" on UK TV Gardens 10pm tomorrow (Friday) 1st June. May be worth watching? Bernie

Really not sure LJ - it was a brief advert inbetween James Martin growing his own. Victorian Kitchen Garden next! Yipee! Gotta make the most of sky as its being cut off on the 15th June - too expensive! Gosh, I'm going to miss my cooking/gardening programmes! Ah well. Bernie

I turned most of Sky off after watching the cricket world cup. gosh we're pants! Got fed up with paying for it. Anyhow did not have the heart to turn off kiddies and gardening...Even with a basic package there seems to be very few channels now -you'd have thought you would get the free-view channels from 4 or something but no! not from pay-by-nose Sky! Then, the telly went to a tiny white dot!...so now reduced to old 14" telly. Do you know -when the weather is fine its better to be gardening and then chatting about it here...all you need to know!...oh yeah, theres the work and kids to fit in!!!

I also have a snooze off in the chair problem these days.
Luckily, most UK gardens stuff is repeated at ten the next morning... and can, if your as lucky as me, be timed to coincide with a cunning tea-break.

Thanks for the heads up Bernie! I shall be keenly awaiting Phil's debut. Did Lesley persuade him to get a plug for the vine in there?

Yep, and the repeat was on at 8am today not 10! it maybe on again at midday if its not the next episode..

I quite enjoyed it!- before falling asleep infront of VKG. Liked the fella showing the schoolkids his plot and making them soup etc.

Glorious day here, no time for telly...happy digging, harvesting and weeding folks!

My other half was hogging the TV with the satellite so i missed it as well.

Perhaps we can ship them both off together to the colonies and get a discount..?

I watched Monday's and then yesterday's (Derby) - I'm sure that's Phil the Shed's allotment isn't it - Phil, were you on it?

But, a wierd thing, the programme both nights seemed to end very abruptly - Hannah and what's his name go off into their 'judgely huddle' to discuss the plots, and halfway through a sentence, the adverts for Roundup suddenly comes on. Is it just me or the channel's timing. (I taped the prog on Sky Plus?) Odd

Default Not good.

Been recording this in the daytime, and the editing is awful, in mid-dialogue the programme ends.

Wet Fart is putting it mildliy, wont bother wasting a DVD disk on this one.

Wet fart! Couldn't agree more-but then most lifestyle telly is irritating,(but according to Mrs.P I'm easily irritated!) and UKTV gardens has the world's most annoying banal presenter/controller whatever -I can understand cutting that infuriating cheeky chappie cockney Chris short, but the other night he talked over Mr.Harry Dobson!...SACRILAGE! I Know what you mean about Hannah too Goddess, although to be fair, she's healthier for me than Valium while having much the same effect.

Watched it for first and last time yesterday evening. Not good.
A cheap rate program, that almost undermines those that have allotments.

ps... Why do we keep getting fishing on the sky gardening chanel?

You know from the credits that it is made by students doing media at college. They are so bad, and really what does it tell you? And the presenters just have those moments, when they look at each other to say, can we sink any further? Good idea, bad format.
