and theres me thinking the difference was hfw is a scruffy old sod and jo isn't ? though they both annoy the hell out of me

I like HFW MUCH more than JO.

I dont know about other grapes, but I find Jamie can be a bit condessending, particularly the whole Ministry of Food thingy and going off to America to make their food, only better

Hugh seems to just be a little bit potty, which I can relate to!

I love 'em both! My ONLY gripe about JO is he bought our old 'local' painted it orange, filled it with 25 staff

then went bust! Wonder why?

I like HFW much better than JO-more natural,knows where his food comes from and-let's say it-how many of you tastes the food(yes,it goes straigt to your gob)and puts the spoon back into the food(not to mention licking fingers)

Yep, pretty much what I think too. That and everytime HFW's on the box what he does usually makes me feel hungry and inspires me to try cooking, growing or brewing something new. Jamie Oliver seems to have the opposite effect.

In JO's defence though - a friend loaned me 'Jamie's Italy' last week - I got as far as page 12, and was checking my passport and bank balance, to see if I could afford the journey to Italy.

I think both HFW and JO have the ability to make you want to be there. Delia doesn't.

I am, however, a fan of her too
