    .......cut the lawn tomorrow?

It's getting a bit shaggy and the grass dried off quickly today. I'm sure the chooks would love some fresh clippings too....

I heard my first lawnmower of spring yesterday. Our grass (lawn is to grand a term) needs lots of attention this year. Needs a serious de-thatching and aerating. Boring hard work but it does pay dividends.

Oh was thinking about doing mine but now you have shamed me - I am going to have to dust off the mower and start it!

                  Noooooo!!!

Was thinking of doing mine yesterday but it never quite dried out.
It certainly need doing though....and de-thatching!

hmm..maybe I should de-thatch first whilst it's wet and then the grass will dry out quicker with the extra air flow????

I fought the lawn, and the lawn won.....

It's raining! Steve wasn't far wrong...it was supposed to be dry here today according to all the forecasts I looked at yesterday, now they've all changed. Looks like Wednesday will now be the best day.

I should've kept schtum and just done it, taken the grass (and the weather) by surprise.....and probably my back and arm muscles too.....

I de-thatched yesterday - partly with the hand rake and partly with the electric scarifier (is that how you spell it?).

Was going to mow afterwards, but the bits that don't get much sun (and have lots of moss!) just weren't dry enough. Had to go over the bald patches (and there were a few) with "shady" lawn seed.

Still, getting lots of pleasure from looking at a "lawn" that has had *some* attention.....

Next doors lawn has been mown twice this year already, and looks like a bowling green....

My lawn hasn't been mown since about August and looks like the 6 Nations Rugby teams have been practicing on it

OWG, sounds like my *ahem* lawn. I definitely have to get out there and make an effort today, looks like it might be drying up. It all looks a bit straggly at this time of the year in our garden, but a nicely cut lawn does a lot to smarten it up. Smells nice too!
