  • Dandelions!!!!!

As you enter our village there is a little paddock tucked back from the road slightly - but still visible from the road.

I usually drive past as it's on a very twisty little section of road with blind corners and nowhere to stop/park.

However, I was out on the bike tonight having been to the plot to water and thought I'd stop and take a piccie of this little spot.

Now, see if you can count them...

That is fabulous, HW - all the dandelion clocks on my plot have been decapitated by the strimmer!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

On my bladdy lawn - we live about half a mile from there.

T'other night it was like snow - though the little 'fairies' were smaller, so probably weren't dandelions.

I know high summer is here when the down from the lime trees is descending in clouds of fluff - how lovely!

Poole and Bournemouth councils have waited until all the dandelions have gone to seed before cutting the grass so there should be a few more zillion plants for everyone next year.

That's really pretty but I now have a massive urge to run through the middle of it and release the fairies

I noticed the verges on either side of one of the roads into our village was thick with sunny orange heads the other week but nothing like those - it looked really pretty. Far nicer than fag / crisp packets anywho!

I like dandelions so not to worried about spreading them - sorry!

Looking at that picture made me want to run through that field with my arms out!

....and then spit all the seeds from my mouth!
