I HAVE to tell you what my Gran (God rest her) did to the local tory candidate when he knocked on her door, one election back in the 80's....

Great ideas there!

I've been at home for the last 6 weeks and haven't had a single candidate knock on my door.
They obviously aren't interested in my vote. I live on a street of terrace houses, they couldn't squeeze more homes into a smaller space without forcing them to walk up and down stairs.
Missed a trick there, so none of them get my vote

We've had no candidates, and as regards leaflets two have come thru the post both addressed to youngest. One from Libdem and one from tory . They've already been recycled.
Good idea tho'. If we get gumph come that has a return envelope OH rips up the gumph and sends it back in the prepaid return envelope.

It really rags me when you get an exit poll. Some daft beggar asking you how you voted! I tell them that it's not their business and what's the use of a confidential voting system if you are expected to tell somebody out on the street?

we haven't had any bumph.
Apart from the Tory buffer who smarmed round me as I was weeding, but got my name wrong and was downright condescending (he didn't endear himself to me).
He handed me a leaflet, which I put into my weed bucket, thanking him (I didn't have anything else).
He looked at it, looked at me and said "don't you have any questions for me?"
"No, I don't think so" I said. He went on his way
