  • Could I have some goat please?

I know!! I know I said I never wanted to see it again, I know I was bored to tears of eating the same thing day in day out. But at least I could taste it. Caught a flight down to Karachi last night, and was given the in-flight meal. By crikey they like their food spicy round these parts.
If it wasnt for the fact that I cut it this morning whilst shaving, I would swear blind that my lower mandible had in fact disolved with the heat.
Sat in the bigger seats in the front crying in pain, asking the trolly dolly's for some hankies as my nose was running faster than my legs ever have, didnt look uber cool I dont think.
If any of you chillie heads fancy a culinary trip to this part of the world, I'd probably leave it a little while, but once its calmed down a bit, I would recommend it.
Think I shall be sticking to ice lollies from now on!!

Nice yoghurt's what you want Bob! Don't try cooling 'chilli burn' down with ice water. Order a yoghurt drink - you know a lassie (woof!) but not spelt like that.

There are several ways of 'cooling off' the burning sensations from eating food which is more highly spiced than you anticipated. Water is definitely NOT on the list!
Yoghurt or other milk-derived 'potions' are simplest and most reliable, Lager is... of some help, but limited.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

The stuff in chillis which causes 'the burn' is only dissolvable (and therefore removed from the tongue) in fat, I believe, which is why you have the yoghurt and/or milk.. Eating a spoonful of butter would have the same effect
