Had a row at the post office earlier today after having a thing through the letter box yesterday saying that I'd got a letter to pick up which was under stamped by 15p therefore would cost me £1.15 to get off them. Anyway, turned up and it was a very light A5 sized envelope which should have been OK with a normal stamp but they still refused. Weighed it when I got home and it was less than the limit but there wasn't a lot I could do about it by then and suppose it is a lovely card but is it just me thinking that this is a bit of a rip off?

Last christmas we had a card from a cousin who lives 6 miles away from me with underpaid postage and it cost us over £1 to collect it, the reason they gave was it was too big by a fraction, at this time of the year you would think the post office would let them through. No wonder people only use the post office if they really have to.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
