  • compost bin

    a friend of mine gave me a huge compost bin, i have had to taleup a couple of slabs to fit it in my garden and i have losened up the soil, hoping the worms will be attracted to it. i have put some old soil, tea bags, mint and cardbored in it.....anyother things i can put in...i know you can put veg peelings and egg shells but i use them to try and stop the slugs from eating the plants....anything eles.....

      Make sure the mint is dead before you put it in or it wall root and start to grow.

      Add Veg pealings, coffee grounds, grass cuttings, shredded paper, prunings from your garden.

        oh thanks for that i never thought of that, i have taken the mint out for now and wait till it dies i have put it on the slabs......should of guessed that after pulling it up last year thinking it had all gone, then finding a mass of it this year ha ha ha.........no good for anyone though its compleatly covered in greenfly and there is too much to spray.
