  • Christmas Party Spoiler!

As some of you may recall, made the decision that I'm not going back to work in the New Year, but because my firm are so lovely, they've invited me to the Christmas Party tonight and I was sooo looking forward to it, to say 'bye to people and bore them stupid with baby talk whilst drinking Champagne etc. I've even got a lovely new frock and facial booked and everything.

But I've woken this morning feeling TERRIBLE? I'm never ill and generally have a 'very good constitution' as they say. How can timing be this bad?! Got to ring boss in next few minutes to arrange to meet for drink beforehand and think I'm going to have to cry off. I hate hate hate moaning, but I am feeling a bit mournful about my big glam night out being ruined 'cos I was really looking forward to it!

I know there's a chance I'll feel better later, but like I say, I'm NEVER ill and I feel pretty awful...might make some of Piskie's cheesy beans to cheer myself up - thank the Lord my appetite is never affected!
    I don't roll on Shabbos

Well...I would call it off - you don't want the lasting memory of you to be one that gives them all a festive bug...make the cheesy beans and settle down for the day and if you do feel better, call up later and get yourself over. Otherwise, you can arrange to meet up in the new year with selected friends for a coffee/natter.

Oh Hun...that's proper pants!!((x))Think like th'others have said tho...maybe best to call off & avoid passing yer germs ....still...look on the bright side...as you're leaving they sure to want to send you out in style & will probably thank you for A/not giving them festive bug & B/giving them an excuse for another party in the new year to say a proper farewell.
A couple of christmas's ago some friends of ours didn't want to let the side down by pulling out of entertaining us all on chrimbo eve...despite having gastroenteritis(strangley easier to spell than the "d" word!!)...unfortunately...we all came down with it the next day!!Wasn't my favourite pressie!!
Take Care...wrap up warm...get out the Christmas spirit....& allow yerself to wallow & get pampered for being poorly!(((x)))

You can go to ours tomorrow night if you like.

We're sharing the room with an ABBA themed night, and personally I can't stand ABBA - having been subjected to it and the screaming hoardes of drunken women shouting along to Waterloo every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night for two whole years (I worked in a Chicago Rock Cafe).
