      No stockings?!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

With 18 to cook for and no doubt the open fire roaring away, I tend to wear a pair of shorts and a short sleeved shirt on under my apron.

I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

We tend to dress for dinner on spesh occasions, and usually dress up a bit on Chrimbo day. We tend to go for something that can become "a bit evening-y" later on rather than change again though.

we used to dress up for the day, but to be honest the kids are older now and its jeans and a T for them, jeans and a sparkly top for me though, gotta keep some standards after all.
noone ever comes to ours at xmas ( black sheep syndrome ) so we can pretty much please ourselves.

Mmm, I'll be wearing smart trousers and a blouse, as opposed to the usual daily tatty trousers and top. We always used to get seriously dressed up at Christmas when I lived at home, but it made for misery for us kids who were terrified of spilling something down our Sunday best and for the older family members it was impractical. Now I compromise and try to wear something that's not everyday attire, but will still allow me to crawl around after the grandkids.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

                              Double standards here!

If we're going to the In-laws, it's best gear.

If they come to us, I'm usually still in my jodhpurs and fleece!

That's because MIL is ALWAYS early! But that gives me a great excuse to be lazy and not change...
