She'll be fine, Jackie. Just don't believe that crap about not being able to get it again. There are actually numerous strains and I had it a second time, as an adult. 10x worse than in childhood! Hope she's better soon.

She goes to nursery and broke up on Tuesday, she recently went to the IOW for her cousins birthday party, last weekend we went on the santa train from Paignton to Kinswear, and have been to various other things, I think she has spread it about a bit lol.
When flowers got it a few years ago OH got it as well cos he never had it as a child he was quite poorly, I think that was christmas time, I seem to remember he was off work for ages.

pity it's xmas, but we always had chicken pox parties as kids, cos it's so much better for them to get it then

If I recall it lasts 2 weeks but the first week is the worst one for actually feeling ill- hopefully she'll have just got over the worst of it by Xmas Day???..fingers crossed
(please correct me if I'm wrong....it's been many years since my kids got it.)

....and yes- I too had it as an adult and was told there are several strains.

She has been poorly for a while she had a viral infection about a week or so ago now this, she has had a cough and runny nose and when her mum showed me her spots yesterday ( first sign of them ) I thought it was chicken pox so she took her to the docs this morning. She is a bit of a sickly child and has been since birth, she doesnt eat much and looses weight quickly then she has to take something to help her appetite. She is very tall for her age.

                    Spots after 6 days...

She'll probably be feeling brighter for Xmas day- just left with scabs.

One of the mums at school told her daughter she was lucky to be a girl cos she could scratch the ones in her hair if she absolutely had to scratch something...cos she wouldn't go bald and show the scars!!!!
