  • Boo Hoo - 1st ebid sale gone wrong.

Some of you may have read how I am trying to restart my "ebay" business on ebid.net as the fees on ebay were getting silly and you dont have to pay to list on ebid......

I was chuffed to make a small sale and was waiting for payment but have now found the members name shows with a line through it so I take it they are no longer a member? I cannot believe it - I have listed a whole load of my items at silly prices to attract attention and the first item that goes (a little ragdoll that costs me 65p and I have listed for only 10p) sells but then buyer disappears off the face of the earth. I am just sooooo disappointed.

That is a shame. Don't be too disheartened though, it will take time for ebid to become established I suppose. At least there are no costs to you if items don't sell.

Have you considered an Etsy shop??
I don't know what costs are involved but it is craft heaven.......
One day I shall set myself up there.

Darn! I wish I had known about Etsy when I was trying to sell my birdboxes on ebay! Live and learn!
Smile! It's the curve that can set a lot of things straight!

I did and its something like £100 per year - basic minimum. Also its only for handcrafted items and I sell mainly items to make things with.

Etsy :: Your place to buy and sell all things handmade is a place to buy and sell handcrafted goodies. There is some fab stuff there.
FD after my last post I finally set myself up there (nowt to sell just yet but a step in the right direction). It is suitable for sellers of crafting supplies too. The rates are 20c (US) per item and 3.5% of sales, items can be listed for 4 months though. It may be worth another look, as all the crafters there must need new supplies every now and then......
              Good luck.
