Default Bob Flowerdew's Plait !

Odd question but....

Has anyone seen Bob Flowerdew with his hair down ?

I imagine him looking like the slightly camp elven archer from the second Lord of the Rings film !?

Legal issues not preventing... I wondered if anyone that was handy with Photoshop, could show us a few alternative hairstyles. I'd like to see junior school bunches on him !

I reckon you're onto something there Maf. He once said if he was ever asked to pose for a gardening version of 'Calendar Girls', he'd like to be photographed emerging from a wishing well

I shund't mock. BF has a fine head of 'organic' hair.

I just think that maybe he should experiment a bit !!

I've got long and equally annoying hair at the mo....

I decided to have a last ditch attempt at longer hair before resigning myself to the 'baldy skinhead look' that age inevitably brings!

I'll get it cut off when I get back from Eejipt and re-live my 80's streaks maybe???

Still.. I recon bunches on blokes is a good look... Think Toni Basil with man boobs ???

Come one lads wiv long hair.. lets see them bunches !

oooh squashysu

Harsh on Bob... he's a Plaited Guru !!

He just called me to say that he's gonna sue both you and your baldy bloke for defermation of character. His agent would like to make it known (beyond all reasonable doubt) that Robert Flowerdew does not have headlice.

Bob would never openly comment on the suitability of the hugely talented star WhyAmIWhiningArse as a roll model for young chldren but would welcome a seperate thread on the issue.

Squashy's Apology to Bob -

Dear Bob,

Sorry but I have to wonder if you have headlice, because you always have a plait and my daughter always has a plait so she cant catch them, but if you ever need advise on the "lice" please ask as some horrid parents at my kids school cant be bothered to clean their kids hair..............

I would like to say though that I do have some of your books, but your plait does put me off reading them seriously lol!!!! in my humble opinion i am sure you would look better without the plait, but please dont turn into a crafty comber when the hair is receeding!!!

By the way the old "slaphead" at home is only jealous and sends his kind regards.

Love

Squashy - the fat bird without headlice!!

ps. Maf, i really wasnt being that serious........., but i think you know this lol x

Ouch! Hope you mean the plait Headfry!
Here's a little bit about 'A Day in the Life of' Bob that I found from The Times. Apparently his wife plaits his hair at night & he has twins who will be about 2 & a half now. He thinks hair might act as a sort of aerial for your dreams!

I have a dream that this world can be made better bit by bit. Dreams were one reason I started growing my hair. It struck me hair might possibly act as an aerial, and I made notes to see if my dreams changed as it got longer. Since I’ve been growing it, my dreams seem more sensible, more like real life.

Vonnetta plaits my hair at night — it’s a lovely bonding experience. About 10pm, before I shower and say my prayers, I do a last round of the garden and sniff the flowers. Unlike the babies, plants don’t scream at night. There are very few things in life that are better than sex, but in the long run, gardening just beats it. For half an hour I’ll have the sex, but for the rest of the day I’ll take gardening.

I fully intend to sally forth into middle aged dressed as a teenager and if anyone ever suggests something different, I shall politely decline their advice

Bob's a bit odd though, eh?

Wee???? ( ooops..I thought you said SPELL...)

OK...just for the record....

I think this guy is superb.
Laid back, quiet, organic guru (YEARS ahead of his time)
I'd invite him to tea/supper/weekend/holiday() ANYTIME.......

Good on ya Bob....an inspiration to us all! ( yes..I DO have one of his books and he is a 'real time/real life' sort of guy) ...My OH and I would love to spend a weekend working with him to learn a few tricks of the organic trade.

I wonder why no-one has suggested him for Gardeners World??...probably because he's too bashful??

Maf...Good idea for this years GYO panto- Rapunzal. ( auditions at the end of the growing season........) ....Bubblewrap could provide the landing pad for the lovers leap????
