  • Bittersweet Results...But Very Proud!

My DD got her college results today. She has scored merits all across the board for her BTEC in Animal Management.

We are so proud as she has been through a lot lately, losing her dream job at the falconry.

Long story, but she should have started work on 6 July as the new manager, but we had to get her out of there very quickly as her 'boss' was very unprofessional and had become obsessed with her (I know I'm biased, but she is lovely!) It was almost stalking (constantly on the phone, MSN, trying to control who she went out with, when and where she went out, threatening her etc etc) and has creeped us all out.

It's been a bit like living in a soap opera. We had to fight to get her kestrel back, involving the police etc and it's been horrible for all of us, but for DD especially as she's completely gutted now and her confidence shattered.

Anyhooo, we are very proud of her results and hope she'll get a job soon in the Falconry field she's specialised in.

    Jules

Congratulations to your daughter Julesapple. Very well done and you have every right to be proud.
As for that creeping , stalking , low life, git - I hope he gets what he deserves.
I think a lot of young women suffer from these creeps (I did as a young girl) and it's not easy to get anything done, people tend to look at you unbielevingly and sometimes it is easier to keep quiet. I think things are getting better now, but still not easy.
You just have to boost your daughters self confidence, reassure her that none of that creeps behaviour is her fault and tell her that she must always speak out against these creeps - in a big , loud voice.
Again I say - well done that girl and every success to you.

It would be too far to travel to Andover wouldn't it? Best place in the world for her speciality!

Normally, if there was a vacancy, the DD would be prepared to move with the job. I don't think we'll persuade her to leave home now.

She has an interview for Bath Uni to do a Foundation Degree in Zoo & Animal management, so she may be starting that in October.

              Well done to your DD.

CB wants to do Zoology (sp?) but she does need to get better in her science. Her dream Job is Chief Exec at Woburn so she doesn't have to muck out
