Grow Your Own Magazine

Its my grandsons birthday next wednesday and he has asked me via his mum to make him a superman cake.

The last one I made for my grandaughter (a butterfly cake) was ok except the raspberry jam turn the sponge blue. anyone know why????

I have never come across that??!! I use my own raspberry jam in the middle of sponge cakes all the time, and it has never turned it blue??!! Pink sometimes, not blue! Was it shop bought jam? I should check the ingredient list...!

yes it was shop brought, only just getting to this gardening and cooking stuff still have a lot to learn!
