I bought some Tesco's own garlic a few years ago and have been growing it ever since, though they've got bigger and better each year so now I reckon they're not Tesco's anymore. They're mine.

Me too, Last year like you I got them when they were reduced, fantastic flavor and only cost me a few pence, I saved some from this year and I planted them this week...Fingers crossed I'll get another good crop.

I've been growing supermarket garlic for a few years now.

I've never managed to get autumn garlic in but plan to change that this year!!

Was going to go for a supermarket type too.

I've always gone for the highly priced & supposedly superior proper for planting garlic.However,each year at least one of those bulbs disappears in a puff of mouldy dust when I go to separate it & actually some of them have grown far from as well as I'd have wished.
So,this year I think I'll just stick with the one(already ordered

)pack of "proper" & try the rest from Supermarket bulbs.
