    So, browsing eBay again

mr Sheds is always exploding baked beans in the microwave, so I got him a cover plate.
The Buy It Now price was £2.99, so I made a Best Offer of £1.50 (expecting to be laughed at).

The buyer made a counter offer of £1.00

(I think she meant to click on £2.00)

Some time ago my wife and I went into Sainsbury's. There was a lovely rib of beef, reduced from £10.99 to £7.99, so we decided to treat ourselves. Imagine my surprise when it went through the EPOS at 79p! Apparently it had been coded wrongly. The checkout lady called a supervisor, but was told 'yes the price is wrong, but as that was what was advertised on the machine, that's what they had to charge.' Needless to say that was one of the best bits of beef OH and I had ever had!

Reminds me of when Safeway were selling weeping willows in pots a few years ago - (tall stemmed ones) at half price from £13.99 to £6.99..so I bought a couple for me and a couple for FIL's birthday..imagine my joy when all 4 went through the till at 69p each ( cheapest, best, birthday pressi I'd ever bought for him!!!)
        Oh I love a bargain!!!!!

We went shopping for a new tumble drier last week. We lloked at loads on internet and I wanted a Miele but could not afford the £560plus.

Imagine our surprise when Currys had their demo one reduced from £399 to £349.... Looked wrong to me but I kept quiet and bought it.

We also haggled on a 3 year warranty extension (2 to 5 years). They wanted £80. I offered £40 and was accepted..

Cheapest Miele I have seen by £190!

back last year sainsbury's had a 4 pack of chicken fillets on 5.99 a pack or 2 for £6 virtually a bogof. well they had soooooo much that the packs were reduced to £3 each so we bouught 2 put them through the till and we watched as they were scanned and the till then took 5.98 off the bill. 8 chicken fillets fo 2p ( see phil scurry back and collect last 10 packs)......though not arouse any supervisor issues i bought some batteries and a deodorant.
            smiled all the way home.

I used to buy triple packs of a certain drink ... if you use the self-scanners, they sometimes read the individual barcode, not the 'triple' barcode .... so, 45p instead of £1.20

Sainsburys were excellent at that kind of thing until recently...they've sorted their till system out now though...boo!
